The project employs an innovative methodology integrating a range of different research techniques to investigate the complex of archaelogical sites around Lochbrow. These include: cropmark analysis, geophysics, topographic survey, experiential analysis, 3D and predictive modelling.

For the geophysics survey, we have been using a Bartington Grad 601-2 magnetometer and a Geoscan RM15 twin-probe resistance meter. The topographic survey was carried out with a Leica 900 differential GPS.
